So, I had been looking to DIY towel holders for my bathrooms and as usual I visited pinterest for some much needed inspiration. I loved this idea of using wooden beads. So I set on making it with the supplies that I had with me. Of course, I bought the wooden beads of Amazon first.
Supplies you will need:
- Wooden beads
- Leather strip
- Twine
- Scissors, of course

First Step is to start braiding the twine. You have to judge how much you have to braid by checking as you go. Keep some extra length for safety margin for beads and tying the knots at the end.

So after I had my desired length, I started inserting the beads. For your leather strip, Cut two holes at two ends for inserting it through the twine braid. Here I first inserted one bead and then the right side of my leather strip. (I had cut this strip of my old purse which I was not using). After the strip, I finished with all the beads except one.

After the beads, I inserted the other end of the strip and one bead. I tied the knot in the middle like below photo.

Cut off any extra twine and it finishes the DIY.

And yes I made two, for both of my bathrooms. See one styled below.

This was one of the easiest and quickest DIY I ever made. I finished both of them in half an hour or so. I love how it adds that natural touch to the bathroom and makes it have a character. Instead of buying those standard steel towel holders, I like these ones better. What do you think? – Ambika.
